• Ruská kolonie leží západně od starého města. V této čtvrti bydlívali na konci 19.století ruští pouníci při návštěvách Palestiny./Russian compound is a neighbourhood outside the western walls of the Old City. It used to be the retreat of the Russian pilgrims to the Holy Land;

• Na této procházce jsem neodolala a uhnula jsem s vyznačené trasy do křesťanské části Starého města. V úzkých uličkách jsem se mezi domy patřícími různým křesťanským denominacím velmi brzy ztratila, takže nedokážu přesně říct, co přesně je na fotkách, které jsem tu vylepila. Jak říká Donutil: "Ztratili jsme se, ale zase jsme toho spoustu viděli, ne?/On my way through the Russian Compound, I strayed from the path recomended by my Easy Walks book and went to the Christian Quarter of the Old Town. In the narrow streets and among the many picturesque houses of various Christian denominations I got lost in no time. I am not exactly sure what I have seen, but I took pictures of it. How ignorant of me.
