Prague Dragon Boat Autumn
Indohusbands + wives + friends in Chinese and Indonesian dragon boat race with a surprising success!
- info: Indonesia presented two dragonboats - Pantun and Gurindam from the Riau province for Prague 2009 Dragonboat festival at Cisarska Louka (12-13 September 2009). In response, the committee invited Indonesians to take part in the Dragonboat festival and be exempt from 7,500 kc team fee. Eighteen paddlers plus a drummer and a steersman went for 250 meter race on Corporate Cup. The surprise part is that majority of the team are not Indonesians but a collection of spouses and friends from Indonesian community. The best part is that team who are not regular paddlers and had only met and practised once, went ahead to the final with other 5 teams! Celebrate that! Cannot wait for the next year festival. Go Indonesian team!
